Tareen expresses gratitude to party leaders for extending good wishes to him

LAHORE (Dunya News) – As the National Assembly approves bill limiting parliamentarians' disqualification, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen was felicitated on Sunday by the party leaders and workers.

According to sources, Tareen was contacted by party leaders and workers. The party bigwigs and workers had received thanks from Tareen for their well wishes to the latter.

In 2017, the Supreme Court disqualified Jahangir Tareen for being "dishonest". The court also said it was not convinced that Tareen had been involved in acquiring loans and having them written off for his benefit, which would have demonstrated dishonesty.

Earlier, Tareen travelled to London with his family to receive medical treatment. After Eidul Azha, he was most likely to return to the country.

On Friday, Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mahmood Moulvi on Friday appointed president of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Sindh chapter.

The announcement was made by IPP secretary general Aamer Mehmood Kiani after receiving approval from IPP president Abdul Aleem Khan and IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen.

On Thursday, Aleem Khan said that his party would help the masses who were suffering from ballooning inflation and extreme poverty.

The party manifesto for the IPP was thoroughly reviewed at the first meeting of the IPP's manifesto committee, which was presided over by Aleem Khan. Aleem stated the IPP will "represent" the people and "fulfil their expectations."

"The goal of joining the IPP is to establish the welfare state in the true sense. The politics of hatred, violence, and division will be eliminated from the nation, Aleem vowed.

On Wednesday, IPP central secretary information Firdous Ashiq Awan said the stable economy could have averted the Greece boat tragedy.

Speaking about the Greek shipwreck incident, Awan added, "Even after seven days have passed, no effective action has been taken against the human traffickers." People were compelled to flee the country due to the economic instability the nation was experiencing, she rued.

She believed that it was urgently necessary to put an end to the politics of hatred and clear the path for the nation's growth, Awan guaranteed that her party will live up to the people's expectations.
